This registered charity was established in 2009 and is dedicated to supporting local community-based causes that enrich and benefit their area. Over the years, the Axis Foundation has donated to countless charities across London, the South East and the West Midlands.
Money can’t buy happiness, but giving back to the community can provide a priceless boost to local causes and improve the lives of people who need it the most. Born from the Corporate Social Responsibility of its founding company Axis, a leading family-owned UK property services partner, the Axis Foundation strives to make a positive and lasting difference within the community.
Donations were given to a range of diverse causes; including Vauxhall City Farm and the Pimlico Foundation, a charity which aims to create a cohesive community and help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds living in Pimlico.
In addition to a corporate donation from Axis, suppliers and employees raise money throughout the year that allows Axis Foundation to support local causes.
John Hayes, Axis CEO and Axis Foundation Trustee, explained: “We believe that it is important that we contribute to the communities that we work in and who have welcomed us. It is because of this that we do everything that we can to raise money so that the Axis Foundation can help worthy causes and benefit the community.”
The Axis Foundation’s charity partners, Demelza Hospice Care for Children and Sparks Charity, received a grand total of £106,475 in the past 12 months. This money was given to help them continue their valuable work in helping children who may not have a long life, live a full one.
Ryan Campbell, Chief Executive of Demelza, commented: “Over the past 13 years Axis have raised over £550,000 for Demelza, plus a huge amount of in-kind and volunteer support and fundraising. This invaluable support has enabled us to fund Demelza staff to care for babies, children and young adults who have life-threatening or life-limiting conditions and their families. We cannot thank Axis, their employees and their subcontractors enough for their efforts, enthusiasm and very clear passion for our cause.”
