Our Parks and Open Spaces are a valuable resource for Lambeth’s residents and visitors, essential for their health, wellbeing and quality of life. We are proud to have 12 award winning parks in the borough and take pride in ensuring they remain a great asset for the Lambeth community and future generations to enjoy.
The grounds maintenance service is run in house and staff are responsible for all aspects of maintaining over 60 parks, open spaces and cemeteries across Lambeth.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of dedicated staff as one of our Weekend Park Attendants for 6 months. You will be required to work either a 07:00 – 15:00 or 12:00 – 20:00 shift on Saturdays and Sundays.
You will be responsible for carrying out general cleansing, litter picking and security of facilities. As a front line member of staff you will be required to act as a key point of contact with the public and stakeholders.
Successful candidates will have knowledge of waste management techniques and be able to work with minimal supervision. The post holder will also be required to carry out physically demanding, manual work and should have a willingness to work outside in all weathers. A clean driving licence is desirable but not essential.
